I mainly work with oils, charcoal, and ink. My painting style is described as a loose painterly representative technique influenced by post-impressionism with elements of expressionism and surrealism. Much of my work centers on the study of the contrast between lights and darks, positive and negative space. In addition to this I made numerious sketches and practice pointillism using ultra-fine tipped sharpies. I have studied under the local artists Arla Patch and Pat Chandler and have had work exhibited throughout the state, winning awards such as the Scholastic Golden Key and was an American Visions Nominee for the high school level. In addition to traditional artwork I actively practice photography and have dabbled in writing poetry and prose. I live in Maine with my wife Roxanne and daughter Novaleigh, as well as four cats, a dog, turtle, bearded dragon, rabbit, tree frog, and finches. I am currently in college studying local history and Native American studies.
